We educate the public on adult literacy issues.
96 million adults in the United States struggle with issues of literacy and in the Little Rock area alone more than 30,000 adults would have difficulty reading this page. This is an urgent concern, because low adult literacy affects almost every facet of personal and community life.
Literacy Action volunteers actively engage in raising awareness of low adult literacy issues. Our advocacy and community education programs focus on telling the local community how to get involved in solving these problems.
