If you are interested in becoming a volunteer literacy tutor with Literacy Action, we would love to have your help! New tutors are required to attend and complete a tutor training workshop before being assigned a student. Live tutor trainings are held on the second or third Saturday of most months at 10:00 a.m., with several follow-up actions required to complete the training process. Trainings will be done either in person at our offices or on Zoom, based on tutor interest. Please specify one of the following dates when you submit your tutor training interest form below and let us know if you prefer to train in person or online:

September – no in-person training; online only available

October 14 – Conway

November 18 – Little Rock

For those who cannot attend a live training session, we have an option to self-train using video recordings and other materials. Please email us if you need or prefer to train this way, but live training workshops are generally preferred so that we can meet you and answer your questions.
